EPiC Coach, ICP-ACC

EPiC Coach (ICP-ACC) is designed to teach, practice and reinforce the core competencies of the Agile coach, enabling the Agile coach to succeed at reaching agreed-upon team and organisational outcomes.

Description

Our EPiC Coach (ICP-ACC) certified agile training course is a 5 half-day (Virtual) / 3 day (In-Person) learning experience. The training course will challenge participants to consider the agile coaching approaches required covering a broad spectrum of teaching, mentoring, problem-solving, planning, leadership, team-building and mastery of skills and knowledge.

The content will focus on how to create relationships with individuals and teams, be able to challenge organisational culture and individual behaviour through thoughtful and deliberate interactions. It will also explore the coach’s role in creating measurable and sustainable team practices in order to provide focus on team and organisational business goals and objectives, whilst having empathy for the impact of organisational change.

  • Agile coaching and the set of competencies and practices associated with being a coach.

  • Ethical and professional coaching standards and agreements with teams and organisations.

  • Applying the various roles, skill sets and disciplines of being an Agile coach

  • The philosophy behind servant leadership and practices and techniques to enable you to become a true servant leader.

  • The mindset shift necessary to becoming an Agile Coach: focus on team improvement, value-driven delivery, and leveraging constraints while living in the present moment, staying curious, innovative and having fun.

  • Ways to establish mutual trust allowing you to create a safe, supportive environment for teams.

  • Active listening and powerful questioning techniques.

  • Advanced techniques in planning and goal setting.

  • Techniques in creating awareness and designing in actions and learning which will assist you in managing progress and accountability within the team.

Certifications

This is an IC Agile accredited course. Attendees will receive the ICP-ACC certification from IC Agile upon successful completion of this course.

Is this a certification course?

This is a certification course. Attendees will receive the ICP-ACC certification from IC Agile upon successful completion of this course. 

 

Is there an exam?

To obtain the ICP-ACC certification attendees are required to demonstrate knowledge, skills and mindset of an Agile Coach while attending the course. Attendees are assessed through a combination of exercises, in-class activities and overall application of learning outcomes during the course.

 

Do you offer this course in-house?

Who can attend this training course? 

Agile Coaches or aspiring coaches with a passion for servant leadership and a desire to learn and practice facilitation, professional coaching, mentoring, and teaching in service of Agile teams. Other relevant roles include Scrum Masters, Iteration Managers and Leaders  of Agile teams. 

 

Do I need to complete ICP-ATF prior to undertaking the ICP-ACC course? 

Although it is not a formal pre-requisite, we have found that this certification is best pursued after Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF).

 

Is this course facilitator-led?

Yes, this is a facilitator-led virtual workshop. You will be able to ask questions, engage with peers and put into practice your learnings during breakouts and group sessions.
